What types of graves are available at the cemeteries?

The council have introduced a wide range of graves to give people as many options as possible when arranging the burial of a loved one.

For many, the traditional grave is considered to be the best option, but for others green burial, vaults, brick graves or mausoleums are available. For those unable to meet the additional cost of a private grave, unpurchased graves are also provided.

All the above mentioned options are available for babies / children. If you are arranging a funeral for a child, it is possible to purchase a grave so that further family members (adult or child) can be buried in the grave at a later date, although we would need to be advised in advance if this is a requirement.

If you are arranging a funeral, it is possible to meet a member of staff in the cemetery to view the location of the grave.
