What is the Care Act?

The Care Act is law which brings together lots of separate care and support laws into one place. The Care Act changes some current practices and creates some new duties for local authorities.

The changes are to ensure that an individual’s wellbeing is at the centre of everything we do in Adult Social Care. The Care Act puts people and their carers in control of their care and support.
